Turkish ship scrap market decreases slightly

Today, March 18, some Izmir-based Turkish mills have decreased their ship scrap purchase quotations further by $5/mt as compared to the levels recorded on March 16, while others have kept their prices stable. As a result, Turkish ship scrap purchase prices have moved down on the upper end by $5/mt to the range of $410-420/mt.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
