Turkish ship scrap market decreases sharply

Some Izmir-based Turkish mills have reduced their ship scrap purchase quotations by $25/mt today, March 22, while others have closed their ship scrap purchases. As a result, Turkish ship scrap purchase prices are now at $385/mt. According to market sources, Izmir Demir Celik issued its ship scrap price at $410/mt earlier today and then closed its purchases. Moreover, Habas and Cebitas have stopped offering ship scrap prices for now.
