Turkish ship scrap market closes the week with another decrease

Today, January 29, some Izmir-based Turkish mills have reduced their ship scrap purchase quotations by $5/mt as compared to the levels recorded yesterday, while other have kept their prices stable in this period. The general range of ship scrap purchase quotations in Turkey has decreased from $405-420/mt to $405-415/mt. Since the beginning of the current week, Turkey’s ship scrap purchase quotations have moved down by $22-30/mt, depending on the buyer.
