Turkish mills raise their ship scrap purchase prices again

Turkish steel producers, based in the country’s Izmir region, have again revised their domestic ship scrap purchase prices upwards. As a result, their purchase price levels are currently at $250-255/mt CPT, following the $5-10/mt increase announced by three mills. Sources expect the levels might strengthen further if the uptrend in the import scrap segment in Turkey continues.

In Turkey's Aliaga region the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
