Turkish mills raise their local scrap purchase prices further

Monday, 21 October 2019 16:44:31 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Some Turkish steel producers have continued to further increase their domestic scrap purchasing prices, amid the more optimistic mood in the import segment. The TRY 50-90/mt increase depending on the mill and the scrap grade has resulted in a $6-14/mt rise on US dollar basis. Other buyers are expected to follow the same policy in order to secure their local scrap requirements, SteelOrbis understands.
