Turkish mills mostly keep ship scrap purchase prices stable

Turkish mills have mostly kept their ship scrap purchase prices stable as compared to SteelOrbis’ report published on April 29 but, with Ozkan Demir Celik halting its purchases, the lower end of the range at $225/mt has disappeared. As a result, Turkish ship scrap purchase prices are now in the range of $226-230/mt for delivery to mill by truck. SteelOrbis has been informed that Ozkan Demir Celik will halt production for five days as of tomorrow, May 5, while Cebitas is still out of the market.
