Most Turkish mills have kept their local scrap purchase prices stable over the past week, while a few announced adjustments. The stable TRY-based quotations have resulted in a sideways movement in dollar-based prices as the TRY-US dollar exchange rate remained unchanged. The decline was by TRY 150/mt or $8/mt, while only one mill increased its prices by TRY 200/mt or $11/mt.
The general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has remained stable at the range of TRY 6,700- 8,300/mt ($356-441/mt).
