After having concluded ex-Black Sea A3 scrap bookings at $450-455/mt CFR last week, it is reported that Turkish mills have been concluding ex-Black Sea A3 scrap transactions this week at $445-450/mt CFR. The decline seen in steel billet and finished steel product prices also helps to increase anticipation that scrap prices will fall. While current ex-Black Sea A3 scrap prices reinforce this expectation, no new ex-US scrap price has been heard so far. Last week, the ex-US HMS I/II 80:20 scrap transaction price for Turkey was at $472-473/mt CFR.
