Turkish mills continue cutting ship scrap procurement prices

As of today, July 25, two Izmir-based Turkish mills have reduced their ship scrap procurement prices by $5-10/mt, a third one has kept its prices stable as compared to July 22. The general price range is now at $370-380/mt. After increasing by $45-55/mt in the early days of July from the levels recorded at the end of June, ship scrap procurement prices have since declined by $15-20/mt and are expected to continue their downtrend in the coming days.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
