Turkish mill IDC restarts domestic scrap purchases

Turkish steel mill Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has restarted domestic scrap purchases as of today, March 30. The producer had decided to halt its purchases on March 20.

Accordingly, The mill’s new scrap purchase prices are TRY 140/mt lower than its quotations on March 20, which is reflected as a $26/mt fall on US dollar basis.
