Turkish import scrap market witnesses increased activity

Turkish steel mills returned to the scrap market yesterday, July 6, in order to conclude new bookings. Some ex-US scrap deals have been reported in Turkey, with prices of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap in these transactions at $467,5-469/mt CFR.
 
In the meantime, SteelOrbis has been informed that a Turkish mill has concluded a booking for an ex-continental Europe scrap cargo composed of 27,000 mt of HMS I/II 75:25 scrap and 6,000 mt of both shredded and P&S scrap at the price level of $448/mt CFR.
