Izmir-based Turkish mills have reduced their ship scrap procurement prices further by $15-21/mt as compared to the levels recorded on May 5. The general price range in the local market is now at $380-385/mt for delivery to mill by truck, down from $395-401/mt. Turkey’s ship scrap market is moving down in line with the deep sea and short sea segments, and this latest decline had been expected by market players.
