Since SteelOrbis’ report published on July 29, an Izmir-based Turkish mill has reduced its ship scrap procurement price by a further $5/mt, setting the general price range at $350-360/mt. The previous rebound in Turkey’s ship scrap market had ended on July 18, and since then prices have recorded a $30-35/mt decline. The pace of the decreasing trend has slowed down over the past week, and some market players expect ship scrap prices to record a small upward correction.
