Turkey continues buying ex-Baltic scrap

Another import scrap deal for an ex-Baltic cargo has been reported in Turkey. A Marmara region-based steel producer has closed a transaction for a total of 38,000 mt of scrap consisting of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $222/mt CFR and bonus grade scrap at $232/mt CFR, for prompt shipment, market sources report. The previous bookings from the Baltic region were closed within the range of $223-223.5/mt CFR for HMS I/II 80:20, as reported earlier.
