Three Turkish mills push up ship scrap purchase prices

Today, December 22, three producers in Turkey’s Izmir region have raised their ship scrap purchase quotations by $10-15/mt, while others have kept their quotations unchanged. As a result, ship scrap prices have increased to $428-440/mt. The range in question is similar to short sea prices in Turkey which are estimated to be around $430-435/mt CFR for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
