Some Turkish mills reduce local scrap prices purchase prices

As of today, April 16, some Turkish mills have announced price decreases for domestic scrap in the range of TRY 40-120/mt or $4-14/mt, depending on the grade. Other mills have kept their prices stable on local currency, with their dollar-based prices moving sideways or rising by $1/mt.

Accordingly, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has remained at TRY 2,950-3,730/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have moved up slightly on the upper end from $365-461/mt to $365-462/mt.
