Some Turkish mills increase local scrap purchase quotations

Since SteelOrbis’ report published on April 22, two Turkish mills have increased their domestic scrap prices by TRY 30/mt and TRY 250/mt, respectively, with the equivalent prices in dollars rising by $5-32/mt, depending on the grade. While other mills have kept their prices stable in the local currency, their dollar-based prices have risen by $2/mt. The general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has remained stable at TRY 2,950-3,730/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have moved down from the range of $357-452/mt to $359-454/mt.
