Significant decrease in Turkey’s ship scrap market

Another significant revision of ship scrap purchase quotations by mills in Turkey’s Izmir region has been announced today, June 29. Two mills have reduced their ship scrap quotations by $5-6/mt, while the other two producers have kept their prices unchanged. As a result, ship scrap purchase quotations in Turkey have decreased to $242-251/mt, for delivery to mill by truck.
