The uptrend in the import scrap segment continues in Turkey with small lots freshly booked in the short sea segment. According to sources, around 2,000 mt of ex-Bulgaria HMS I/II 80:20 scrap has been traded to Turkey’s Marmara region at $267/mt CFR. In the first half of February, the deal prices for scrap of the mentioned origin were standing at $260-262/mt CFR, as SteelOrbis reported earlier.

Ex-Russia A3 offers have been reported in the market at $271-273/mt CFR, with no deals to follow just yet. According to some sources, buyers are aiming to book below $270/mt CFR for now. The most recent ex-Russia deal was reported last week at $269/mt CFR Turkey’s Black Sea region.

Offers from Israel for HMS I/II 75:25 have been reported at $260-263/mt CFR Turkey depending on the seller with no fresh transactions fixed. “Prices should be closer to $250/mt CFR in order to book,” a market source told SteelOrbis.
