Domestic ship scrap purchasing prices in Turkey have moved up once again this week, this time by $2-7/mt depending on the supplier. The prices have been set at $265-270/mt CPT with only one mill being put of the game for now and keeping its levels stable. Sources believe that the mill has slowed down the production these days, therefore in less active in the scrap bookings. In the meantime others compete to get the ship scrap volumes, therefore the prices continue going up, SteelOrbis understands.
