Ship scrap purchase prices in Turkey move up again

Most of the Izmir region-based ship scrap buyers in Turkey have again revised their purchasing prices and again upwards - by $1-5/mt. As a result, the local mills’ ship scrap purchase prices are now at $235-240/mt. According to sources, some improvement in sentiment in the import scrap segment is one of the reasons for local prices moving up. 

In Turkey's Aliaga region the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
