One Izmir-based Turkish mill has increased its ship scrap procurement prices by $29/mt over the past week, while the other local mills have kept their prices stable. The general range is now at $335-376/mt, from $335-375/mt last week, both for delivery to mill by truck. However, IDÇ which represents the bottom of the range is not interested in purchasing ship scrap at present. The price level also shows that they are currently out of the market. Hence, it would be more correct to say that ship scrap prices in Izmir are currently in the range of $373-376/mt.
