Ship scrap prices in Turkey revised downwards again

Some Turkish steel producers in the Izmir region have decreased their domestic ship scrap prices due to the overall negative sentiment in the raw materials and longs markets. Two mills have reduced their ship scrap purchase prices by $2-4/mt over the past week, while Özkan Demir Çelik, which has been absent from the market for around two weeks, have recommenced its purchases, bringing its scrap price in line with the market prices. As a result, ship scrap prices in the region are currently at $274-282/mt CPT depending on the buyer.

In Turkey's Aliaga region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
