Sharp rise in Turkey’s ship scrap prices

Mills active in Turkey’s Izmir region have sharply increased their ship scrap purchase prices to offset the rise in deep sea segment. As mills increase their quotations by $5-10/mt today, November 26, the general range is currently at $320-325/mt which is 5-8$/mt higher than the levels recorded yesterday.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
