Sharp increase in Turkey’s ship scrap market

Following the upward trend of the deep sea segment, Turkey’s ship scrap market has indicated a sharp increase today, November 23. All mills in Turkey’s Izmir region have raised their ship scrap purchase prices by $15-37/mt as compared to the levels recorded on Friday, November 20. As a result, the general range of ship scrap quotations in Izmir are at $312-315/mt.
