In this week's Turkish import scrap market, where no booking has been heard so far this week, suppliers have increased their prices.

SteelOrbis has learned that ex-US HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers to Turkey are standing above $440/mt CFR, while the latest ex-US HMS I/II 80:20 booking last week was concluded at $432/mt CFR.

This week, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers to Turkey are standing at $435/mt CFR, while these price levels have not yet been confirmed by Turkish mills, which are still cautious as regards concluding new bookings. If the Turkish mills are successful in increasing their finished steel prices and concluding sales at higher prices, it is thought that they will then be more willing to book scrap and will more easily accept higher scrap prices.
