On December 11, SteelOrbis reported that offers for containerized shredded (shredded 211) scrap from the EU and UK to Pakistan ticked down to $330-340/mt CFR.

A source informed SteelOrbis that ex-EU and ex-UK prices on containerized shredded scrap have trended down this week to $325-330/mt CFR on end-of-year market conditions and the global scrap trend. Prices decreased $5/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $10/mt from the top of the same range. A source noted that import scrap prices are also receiving downward pressure from declining domestic steel prices in Pakistan.
