Russian steel producers’ domestic scrap purchase prices

According to market sources, the A3 grade scrap purchase price of Russian steel producer Novorosmetall Steel in its domestic market has increased by RUB 300/mt ($5/mt) since August 25 to RUB 11,500-11,800/mt ($178-182/mt) delivered to customer. 
 
Meanwhile, another Russian mill Tagmet’s domestic A3 grade scrap purchase price has increased by RUB 1,000/mt ($16/mt) in the same period to RUB 12,200/mt ($188/mt) delivered to customer.
 
Additionally, REMZ Steel has increased its A3 grade scrap purchase price by RUB 500/mt ($8/mt) over the same period to RUB 12,200/mt ($188/mt) delivered to customer. 
 
Meanwhile, demand in the Russian scrap market has recovered slightly after the end of the summer holiday.
