Relatively small increase in Turkish ship scrap market

Following the recent sharp rises in Turkish ship scrap market, two producers in Turkey’s Izmir region have increased their ship scrap purchase quotations relatively in small rates by $5/mt today, December 25. As a result, ship scrap prices have increased from $440-445/mt to $443-450/mt. In light of the recent information it is observed that Izmir-based producers have raised their ship scrap purchase quotations by $25-55/mt in the current week.
