Pig iron import offers to US continue strong

On March 26, SteelOrbis reported ex-Brazil offers for basic steelmaking pig iron to the US at approximately $410-415/mt CFR US port.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that ex-Brazil offers for basic steelmaking pig iron to the US continue at $410-415/mt CFR, while offers from the CIS region to the US range from $410-420/mt CFR. A source noted offers from Russia at $410-415/mt CFR while offers from the Ukraine were wider at $410-420/mt CFR.
