Some Turkish mills have increased their domestic scrap purchase prices by TRY 30-90/mt or $5-16/mt over the past week, depending on their needs as well as the grade. Although it is observed that domestic scrap purchase prices of most mills have remained unchanged week on week, market players expect more producers to announce an upward revision in the coming period, following the decision of key players to raise their prices. Market sources are expecting to hear import scrap deals at high price levels, SteelOrbis has heard.
