More price cuts in Turkey’s ship scrap market

Turkish mills located in Izmir have cut their ship scrap procurement prices again today, July 19, by $5-10/mt. Since Özkan Demir Çelik returned to the market with its new prices set at $350/mt, the decline on the upper end was only $1/mt but the lower end has decreased by $6/mt. As a result, the general range is now at $341-350/mt delivery to mill by truck.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
