Local Turkish ship scrap prices hit $400/mt on the upper end

As of today, February 24, one Izmir-based mill has increased its ship scrap purchase quotations by $5/mt, pushing the upper end to $400/mt, while other producers have kept their purchase prices stable. As a result, the general range of ship scrap purchase quotations in Turkey has increased from $385-395/mt to $385-400/mt. The increases recorded in the ship scrap segment now total $15-25/mt since February 11, depending on the buyer.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
