Turkey’s domestic scrap prices on Turkish lira basis have increased on the upper end over the past week with the price adjustments announced by a few buyers. One producer has announced a price increase of TRY 300/mt, with a rise of $7/mt in its dollar price, week on week. Another producer has cut its price by TRY 205/mt with a $7/mt decline in its dollar price. The other mills’ stable prices on lira basis have been matched by declines of $1-2/mt week on week in their dollar prices.

After the price revisions, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has moved up on the upper end by TRY 50/mt to TRY 11,400-12,800/mt. The dollar-based prices have moved down from $322-360/mt to $320-360/mt.
