Local Turkish scrap market records another round of increases

Today, April 1, some mills have increased their domestic scrap purchase prices by TRY 85-170/mt or $15-25/mt. Other mills have kept their quotations on lira basis stable, resulting in a $4-5/mt increase in the dollar equivalents.

Accordingly, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has remained at TRY 2,950-3,620/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have moved from the range of $357-438/mt to $361-443/mt.
