Local Turkish scrap market moves up

Today, June 17, the domestic scrap purchase prices of some mills in Turkey have moved up by TRY 20-40/mt, which equals a rise of $3-6/mt in prices on US dollar basis. As a result, the benchmark DKP grade quotations in the local Turkish scrap market have increased to TRY 1,675-2,075/mt or $245-303/mt, with the upper end of the price range stable. Prices of other mills have remained stable on Turkish lira basis, resulting in a $1/mt fall in their dollar-based quotations.
