Some Turkish mills have again reduced their domestic scrap purchase prices since January 4 to the range of TRY 25-200/mt or $2-26/mt, depending on the buyer and the grade. The dollar-based quotations of the other mills that kept their purchase prices stable have increased by $1/mt. Currently, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap is in the range of TRY 3,150-3,725/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have decreased from the range of $428-520/mt to $429-507/mt.
