Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 1,100/mt ($16/mt) over the past week to INR 16,500/mt ($244/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have declined by INR 100/mt ($1.4/mt) over the same period to INR 18,100/mt ($268/mt) ex-yard.
