Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 200/mt over the past week to INR 27,000/mt ($364/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved up by INR 500/mt over the same period to INR 29,900/mt ($403/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have moved down by $5/mt week on week to $355/mt CFR.
