Local Italian scrap prices continue to soften

Continuing the previous soft movement, local Italian scrap prices have decreased by €5/mt ($6/mt) on the lower side of the range and by €20/mt ($22/mt) on the upper end. The decrease appears to be in response to a decline in scrap prices in the Turkish market. During the coming week, Italian scrap prices may soften, but are unlikely to indicate a sharp drop.

Average spot prices in the local Italian scrap market are as follows:

185-200 ($207-224/mt)
