According to the latest figures provided by the German steel
scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of December this year domestic steel
scrap prices in
Germany increased by €9.5/mt on average compared to the corresponding period in the previous month. Looking back at 2015, local
scrap prices in
Germany decreased during most of the year, losing €76/mt between January and December.
On year-on-year basis, in the first 20 days of December this year German domestic
scrap prices indicated a significant decrease of €71/mt on average.
