Latest situation in Turkish ship scrap market

Declines in import scrap prices have been reflected in Turkish ship scrap prices this week, with domestic steel producers reducing their ship scrap purchase prices slightly.
 
In Turkey's Aliaga region - the only region in the country where ship scrapping is allowed - the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
