The domestic ship scrap purchase quotations of Turkish steel producers, which were at $215-221/mt ex-yard last week, have decreased by $4.5/mt on average to $210-217/mt ex-yard as compared to prices on September 23, due to the declines recorded in import scrap prices in Turkey. Meanwhile, demand for ship scrap in Turkey's Aliaga region - the only region in the country where ship scrapping is allowed - has remained at low levels.
