Domestic spot scrap prices in Italy have mostly trended sideways over the past month, while currently the new negotiations are beginning for monthly contracts. The situation is not clear yet as no new contracts have been concluded for the current month. However, most sources believe that, due to the decent scrap demand received from mills and the recent news from abroad, domestic scrap prices should not decline, while they could trend sideways or increase slightly in the case of higher-quality material, such as busheling. According to the same sources, the situation will look clearer by the end of this week.
