Key mills increase local scrap purchase prices in Turkey

Thursday, 14 November 2019 15:12:47 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Turkey’s key steel producers have finally increased their domestic scrap purchase prices, raising them by TRY 30-110/mt or $4-18/mt compared to a week ago depending on the buyer and the raw material grade. Market sources believe that the producers’ move might be attributed to their target to secure scrap stocks as collection may decrease during the winter period.
