Just one Turkish mill revises domestic scrap purchase price

Friday, 03 April 2020 18:03:48 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Only one mill has decided to revise its domestic scrap purchase prices in Turkey today, April 3, increasing prices by TRY 50/mt, with this reflected as a $1/mt fall in the producer’s dollar-based quotations. Most other mills have kept their prices stable as compared to SteelOrbis’ report published on March 27. It is reported that IDC returned to the market on Monday, March 30, and that its prices have remained stable since then.

For other mills that decided to keep their Turkish lira based prices stable, their dollar-based quotations have decreased by $1-2/mt due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar.
