Japan’s Tokyo Steel increases scrap buying price at one site

According to sources, prices at the Okayama site are now reportedly at JPY 33,700/mt ($302/mt), the Tahara site at JPY 35,000-35,250/mt ($314-316/mt), and the Utsunomiya site at JPY 36,000-37,000/mt ($323-332/mt), all prices delivered to customer. The only site that has increased purchasing scrap prices is Okayama, reportedly by $5/mt.
