On October 4, SteelOrbis reported a stable continuation of import scrap prices to Bangladesh since late September. Containerized shredded scrap offers to Bangladesh from the UK and EU were reportedly at $370-380/mt CFR while containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap was on offer at $345-357/mt CFR.

According to sources, scrap offers have continued to trend “generally stable but softer” on the fact that the import scrap market is presently quiet on low market activity. Containerized shredded scrap offers to Bangladesh from the UK and EU are reportedly at $365-375/mt CFR while containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap is on offer at $345-355/mt CFR. Shredded prices declined $5/mt while HMS I/II 80:20 prices declined $2/mt from the top of the previous range.
