Four more of the main steel producers in Turkey have increased their domestic scrap purchase prices due to the upward trend in the import scrap segment. Accordingly, their scrap purchase prices have moved up by TRY 30-50/mt or $4-7/mt depending on the buyer and the raw material grade today, February 20. The other Turkish producers have kept their local scrap purchase prices stable, although their prices have dropped by $1-2/mt on US dollar basis due to the exchange rate fluctuation.
