Although most Turkish mills have kept their domestic scrap purchase prices stable since SteelOrbis’ previous report published on June 9, dollar equations of prices have changed amid the depreciating Turkish lira against the US dollar, and in some cases due to the price changes made by mills. Despite the revisions in question, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has moved sideways in the range of TRY 3,820-4,340/mt, while the dollar-based quotations moved from $445-506/mt to $441-501/mt.
